In the third quarter of 2022, the top sandbox-like games in the United Kingdom showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Roblox demonstrated a strong performance in revenue, maintaining a steady weekly income that peaked at approximately $894K in late August. Downloads for the game saw significant growth, particularly in the second half of the quarter, reaching around 85K in the week of August 29. Weekly active users remained robust, fluctuating around the 3.7M mark throughout the quarter.

Melon Playground experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, culminating in a high of about 21K in mid-September. The active user base also saw substantial growth, climbing from around 61K at the beginning of the quarter to nearly 120K by the end of September.

School Party Craft showed impressive growth in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads surged to approximately 32K in early September before settling around the 10K mark by the end of the month. Active users mirrored this trend, with numbers rising to about 45K in early September and then tapering off to around 20K by the end of the quarter.

Block Craft 3D：Building Game maintained a steady download rate, with weekly figures ranging from 7K to 11K. Revenue remained modest, peaking at around $1.3K in mid-July. The game’s active user base showed consistency, hovering around the 90K to 100K range throughout the quarter.

Rec Room - Play with friends! had a mixed quarter with weekly downloads reaching a high of approximately 11K in late July but declining to around 5.5K by the end of September. Revenue showed a slight decrease over the quarter, peaking at about $5.1K in late June. Active users saw a gradual decline from around 45K to nearly 39K.
